TRANSACTION REPORT
B P Collins acted for Gravity Media Group (GMG) on the purchase from ITV of 021 Television, one of the UK's largest outside broadcast facility companies.
Based in Birmingham, 021 will be one of the leading facilities providers at the World Cup in Germany later this year. GMG has recently hosted broadcast facilities for the Australian Open and will shortly be doing so for the Commonwealth Games in March.
Leading the team at B P Collins was partner Andrew James, who commented: "We've acted for GMG on previous transactions, including their management buyout, so we know their business well. This deal presented a number of challenges, in particular the need to broker ongoing supply agreements with ITV as well as complex TUPE issues, for which the expertise of B P Collins' specialist employment team was especially valuable."
Warren Newbert, GMG's finance director, thanked the B P Collins team for their "hard work, commitment and dedication."
