B P Collins acted on behalf of Justin Walker and Walker Scott Services Ltd in a management buy-in to AmWorld Couriers UK Ltd.
AmWorld Couriers UK Ltd is an increasingly successful Heathrow based international freight courier business, which specialises in creating solutions tailored to meet the needs and requirements of its clients throughout a variety of sectors.
Simon Deans noted: "This was a friendly deal between two business colleagues, but as such it presented a number of challenges. The directors have an excellent working relationship but had to consider, with our guidance, the possible "what if's" to give themselves a strong foundation for the future as co-shareholders. Part of our role was to facilitate a balance between the requirements of both parties so that, in the unlikely event of any issues arising in the future, they have a framework for working through to a successful solution."
Simon concluded: "The company will be stronger having given its managing director the opportunity to acquire a significant stake and will further incentivise the company towards future growth, whilst at the same time releasing immediately cash to the shareholders."
