WRAP offers grants for construction waste recycling

Grants are up for grabs from the Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP) for firms looking to recycle construction-related waste.
The organisation is offering funding in order to increase processing capacity in England for construction, demolition and excavation waste.
The scheme applies to anyone looking to build a new facility or to expand existing facilities for the specific purpose of collecting, segregating and or processing waste produced from construction and demolition sites.
WRAP said: "To achieve this, the capital grant programme can provide financial assistance towards the cost of plant, equipment and infrastructure for projects in England."
Interested parties must tender their applications by 1.30pm on Wednesday July 16th at the latest.
WRAP has already run workshops on the grants, which allow firms to apply via an application pack available on the internet.
Aims of WRAP include the recycling or removal from the "waste stream" of a minimum of three million additional tonnes of materials.
