B P Collins appoints chief operating officer to new role

Thames Valley law firm B P Collins has appointed Karl Wingfield to the newly created role of chief operating officer. Reporting directly to the Board, he will be responsible for delivering the five-year strategy that the partnership put in place in 2005.

"We've set a number of challenging goals for the future and I'm confident we will achieve them," commented Mr Wingfield. "We will continue to grow in all sectors of our business and we will also enter new markets. The changes facing the profession present both opportunities and threats and we will address these with innovative services for our clients, both commercial and private, backed by the professionalism that has always been B P Collins' trademark."

Mr Wingfield is a qualified chartered accountant and has held a number of senior positions in both the legal and accountancy profession, most recently as a strategic financial management consultant, before which he spent four years as chief operating officer at law firm Tite & Lewis.

Commenting on his appointment, Ian Johnson, B P Collins' senior partner said: "I am delighted that Karl has joined us and am confident that with his wealth of experience with other law firms he will play a vital part in enabling us to achieve our strategic goals."
