B P Collins Solicitors, one of the leading law firms in the Thames Valley region, are proud to be sponsoring the annual National Society for Epilepsy (NSE) Seahorse 5k fun run on Sunday May 13. The roads and grass tracks around the NSE estate in Chalfont St Peter will be closed to traffic, and will provide the backdrop and route for the runners.

Although the event attracts 'elite' athletes, this is a local community event for people of all ages and abilities. NSE events manager Jo Wengler comments, "This year we want to create a real fun family atmosphere. There will be prizes for the fastest children as well as the fastest adults. Everyone who finishes will receive a medal for their achievement."

As well as the fun run, the day will include family entertainment, a barbecue and the Chiltern American Women's Club will be holding one of their popular 'just a second' sales. NSE's fundraising mascot Caesar the Seahorse, a 6ft tall blue mannequin, will officially start the race.

A number of the partners and staff of the firm have volunteered to marshal or participate in the run. Senior partner, Ian Johnson, comments "I am delighted that members of the firm are enthusiastic about being involved in this very worthwhile event to raise funds for one of the most important charities in our county".

GE Healthcare, BaxterStorey and the Bucks Advertiser have also teamed up to support the event, with all money raised going to NSE's Seahorse Appeal supporting research into epilepsy.
