Film night to raise Money, Money, Money for charity

The film adaptation of smash hit musical Mamma Mia! takes to the silver screen next week and leading Thames Valley legal firm B P Collins is sponsoring an exclusive showing at the Gerrards Cross Odeon on Friday, July 11 to raise funds for charity.
Designed to get cinema-goers in party mood, a pre-screening drinks reception hosted by family practice partner Sue Andrews and her team - who are all preparing to let their hair down in true Seventies-style - is being held for invited guests at its Station Road offices.
The film, which is set in the Greek islands, tells the story of a teenager's search to track down her real father as her wedding day approaches. Featuring the much-loved songs of Seventies supergroup Abba, including the classics Dancing Queen and Take a Chance on Me, it stars Meryl Streep, Julie Walters, Colin Firth and Pierce Brosnan.
"Abba's music is absolutely timeless and there can be hardly anyone out there who doesn't know at least one of their songs," said Sue Andrews. "This is such a fun film and we thought it was a perfect opportunity to invite some of our clients and business associates to a night at the movies and support a worthwhile cause at the same time."
Money raised from the evening will go to Scannappeal's Cancer Fighting Fund to help local cancer patients and the charity is offering prizes for the best-dressed Abba lookalikes on the night.
The screening also includes a charity auction with the chance to win a private tour of Pinewood Studios where the film was made, a prize draw and a talk from one of the film's production team.
Tickets for the evening are also on sale to the general public and are available in advance from Scannappeal on 01494 727752. Tickets cost £15 for a standard seat or £25 for a premium seat and both include a welcome drink and free prize draw ticket. Doors open at 7.45pm.
