Firm opens suite to evening of culture and charity

01 May 2008

B P Collins opened its new Chalfont Suite to selected clients and other distinguished guests on Thursday 24 April to exhibit the works of German artist Helmut Otto. Over 35 atmospheric watercolour paintings were displayed across the 10 meeting rooms with the event supporting The South Bucks Hospice.

Helmut, uncle of Sarah Jackson (senior associate in the firms Litigation and dispute resolution practice group), has exhibited 30 times in his native Germany but this was his British debut. The almost photographic quality of his landscapes and architecture is inspired by his travels and has developed from abstract oil to fine watercolours.

The evening was a huge success both for the artist and the charity. The firm was delighted to donate £1000 to The South Bucks Hospice which cares for those with cancer and life-limiting illnesses free of charge.

Ian Johnson, Senior Partner at B P Collins comments: "We are delighted to be able to use our new meeting room suite to display the works of Helmut and to share these with our clients and guests, both on the evening of the exhibition and over the coming months. We are also pleased to be able to raise awareness of the Hospice and support the vital care they provide to those in need within our local community."
