Legal 500 recognises B P Collins' expertise

The recently published Legal 500 directory (the clients' guide to the UK legal profession recognised by the Law Society) has once again acknowledged the legal expertise of solicitors at B P Collins, reinforcing our reputation as a full service commercial firm with a region-wide reputation and a first-class provider of specialist, legal services to wealthy individuals.

The private client practice is ranked in the highest band for personal tax, trusts and probate, and "has a highly recommended practice under Jeremy Mills, who specialises in life and estate planning with particular emphasis on trusts". David Wilkinson is also recognised, whilst the team's advice includes "international tax work, offshore trusts and contentious probate".

"No problem appears too big" for David Stanning's busy corporate and commercial team. The team "undertakes IT-related work and has particular expertise in the waste industry". Partner, Simon Deans, was acknowledged for acting for Oven Clean on its sale to MyHome International, whilst other general corporate work includes clients Jansons (now part of Colliers CRE) and Television Services.

Litigation and dispute resolution partners, Tim Constable and Nick Hallchurch, are recognised as "top-quality litigators whose accuracy and commerciality are second to none", whilst David Pritchard "has built a solid practice as a mediator with experience ranging from banking to intellectual property."

The B P Collins employment practice is quoted as "never letting its clients down". Clients include Avid Technology Europe and head of practice, Jo Davis, "advises on all commercial aspects of employment law with clients drawn from many sectors".

Head of the charities team, Jeremy Mills, is acknowledged for "his expertise in the field of corporate governance and management issues", and the team advise The National Society for Epilepsy and Biblelands.

Sue Andrews, head of the family practice, is mentioned for "regularly advising individuals with multi-million pound assets, including family-owned businesses and trusts in the UK and abroad". The team is also recognised for its handling of residence disputes, applications for leave to remove a minor and child abduction.

Michael Larcombe and his six-partner commercial property team "advise on sales and leases, development agreements and industrial, commercial and residential investment for clients such as City & Provincial Properties".
