David joined B P Collins in 1982, having previously worked in the City. David specialises in estate planning, wills and associated trusts for private individuals, often in relation to substantial estates and is a trustee of substantial UK and offshore estates.
In the capacity of Notary Public, he regularly visits local companies, large and small, providing notarial service. David is also fluent in French.
David is well respected and consistently ranked as a 'leading individual' in the Thames Valley, by Chambers UK, A Client's Guide to the UK Legal Profession, and is also independently recommended for his personal tax, trusts and probate expertise by clients within the Legal 500 Guide. Peers acknowledge that B P Collins is a top firm for private client work.

Ian Johnson

Ian joined the firm in 1973 and is the firm's senior partner and chairman of the Board. Ian specialises in commercial property work, acting for a number of nationally known companies and organisations.
Ian is very active locally, being the chairman of the South Bucks Local Policing Board, vice president of the Wycombe and South Bucks Chamber of Commerce and a council member of the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce. He is Deputy Chairman of the Beaconsfield Conservative Association, honorary solicitor of the South Bucks Hospice, a member of Beaconsfield Town Council and former mayor of Beaconsfield.

David graduated in 1995 from Brunel University, qualified in December 1999 and worked for a north London firm specialising in employment law. David was promoted to senior associate in 2007 and made partner in 2008.
David specialises in all areas of employment law, including discrimination, trade union law and collective consultation, with particular emphasis on advising employers on large mergers, share and asset acquisitions, the implementation of cash and share based employee benefit schemes, the creation and enforceability of service agreements, policies, procedures and immigration matters. He also advises executives and directors on their termination packages and post-termination restrictions and advises individuals and companies in the financial sector on the termination and recruitment of staff. David provides in-house employment and diversity training for corporate clients.

Simon Deans

Simon graduated in law from The University of Birmingham and trained with B P Collins, qualifying as a solicitor in 1997. He became a Partner in May 2005. Simon is commercially focused in his advice and deals with all types of corporate and commercial work, ranging from M&A transactions to commercial contracts.
Simon has a wide-ranging portfolio of clients, including fast-growing technology companies and has developed a specialism in intellectual property and IT matters. He has primary responsibility for managing the teams' channels to market.
In 2008, Simon was recommended for his corporate and commercial work in the region in The Legal 500, The Clients' Guide to the UK Legal Profession.
Simon is married to Cath and they have three young children, all of whom are showing early signs of their father's ability to successfully negotiate. Outside the office, when not indulging his family, Simon can usually be found wielding his golf clubs, playing football (very slowly!) or watching any sports he can find.
Sue Deacon
Senior Associate
Sue graduated with an LLB (Hons), qualified in 2004 and joined B P Collins from Allen & Overy in 2006. Sue deals with commercial property matters, involving shops, factories and warehouses for a spectrum of clients, including charities, individuals and businesses. When not at work she enjoys travelling, drawing and painting, reading and going to the gym.
Diane Gill
Senior Associate
Diane graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2000 with an LLB (Hons), trained at B P Collins and qualified in October 2003. Diane's experience covers a broad range of corporate and commercial matters. She advises on business acquisitions and disposals, cross-border corporate re-organisations and restructuring and general commercial contracts. Diane has a special interest in and is a member of both the environment team and the charities team. Outside work, Diane rows and coxes at Staines Boat Club, enjoys travelling and skiing.
Victoria Holland
Senior Associate
Victoria qualified in 1999 and was previously at Pinsent Masons in London. She joined B P Collins in 2006. Victoria deals with transactional work and is involved in a wide variety of matters, from M&A transactions to a whole range of commercial and contractual matters, including some charities work. Victoria loves reading and theatre but her outside interests generally revolve around entertaining her two young children.
Alexandra Holden
Associate
Alexandra graduated from Durham University with an LLB (hons) in 2005 and went on to complete her LPC at the College of Law in London. She joined B P Collins as a trainee in 2006 and qualified as a corporate and commercial solicitor in September 2008. Alexandra advises on a range of both corporate and commercial matters, including shareholders' agreements, M&A transactions and commercial contracts, and is also a member of the charities team. Outside of work, Alexandra enjoys swimming, surfing, socialising and photography.
Jane Kenyon
Associate
Jane qualified as a solicitor in 2005 and joined B P Collins in May 2008 from a large regional law firm. She specialises in inheritance tax planning for high net worth individuals and has experience in dealing with trusts and cross border issues. Jane is a member of the charities team and advises on governance issues. Outside of the office, Jane likes travel and reading.
